our cell's easter party was today. the preparation part was exhausting but all in all i did enjoy myself. initially i thought watching veggie tales would be a little "erm" but when i saw it, it was beautiful. esp the part where the little angel was singing the song bout how jesus died. i love that song. the lyrics were really meaningful.the story is a little like mr scrooge and christmas. i think the funniest part was when the asparagus fainted. hyok. imagine an asparagus fainting. i'll faint too if i ever eat asparagus. bleah. and all the veggies have no hands.
we played many games. one of which. pepsi cola 123. the three final people left were lilin dawne and cherilyn. and we were supposed to dress them up with newspaper. dawne looked like sailor moon. haha. with the two pony tails, funny hat, sword and shield. cherilyn looked like astro boy with strawberry shortcake's face. haha. and lilin. wow. she an still look so good in newspapers. and her team members can go and join project runway already la!!! they made a geisha costume out of the newspapers. complete with a fan, ribbon at the back, big loose sleeves, and bell bottoms. plus she tied a bun with a exquisite newspaper hair piece. haha. seriously when i came back from the toilet and saw her i was like. how can that be newspapers?!?!
the food was great. yum yum. and i ate alot!!! cos i was soooo hungry and cold and wet and tired by the time the party started, i needed some food to cheer me up :). we should have potluck more often. cos the food really is nice. :)
had this really out of point thought today. whoever thought of easter bunnies and easter eggs? what has it got to do with jesus dying on the cross? is it all just a commercial scheme to earn $$? and since when did bunnies get associated with eggs? bunnies don't lay eggs. bunnies don't hatch from eggs. since when did bunnies hop along teletubby-like-land to collect intricately painted easter eggs that seem to be scattered all around. how weird is that?
