:) happy chinese new year everyone. its been a hectic and tiring few days for everyone running around visiting and collecting ang paos *kaching!* there has been a few really memorable moments this year.
1. first day of chinese new year. my dad decided that he would surprise me and my sis by giving us a huge ang pao.so he gave us each and angpao. and on mine it says :" LILY,may God bless you richly, love daddy" i was like WHO'S lily?!?! oh my goodness. my own father doesn't even know my name and to think he was the one who chose it!! i spent the next few hours interrogating him bout who lily was and he just kept laughing and shrugging helplessly. what a start. oh well, but the $200 huge angpao did make up for that blunder.
2. been to my grand uncle's place this morning. had a really nice talk with my cousins and a really really really great lunch. it was so yummy i could eat it all even if my stomach was gonna explode. BUT i had to be polite and leave food for others, so... i stopped eventually.
3. went to auntie florence's place this year again. its been a tradition every year. had fun playing swilian's new game called saboteur. very cute. bout elves/gnomes digging mines and forming pathways to get the ultimate gold and saboteurs amongst them. its a really seemingly simple yet mentally challenging game. and my dear dear cousin, swilian was quite schizophrenic throughout the game because she kept forgetting whether she was the miner or the saboteur. it was super hilarious and i simply can't put into words how blur she is. SHE'S unbelievable. but beautiful and dear to me all the same.

i've had a bountiful new year so far and im glad i could catch up with my family :) its nice seeing them again after a long while. esp those hilarious ones.
