headache and stomachache.
cause and effect.

stomachache: gave in to temptation and ate laksa for lunch today. which didn't sit too well with my stomach, though it was the one who craved for it. cause: ate lousy laksa. effect: squirmy wormy feeling in my stomach and a nagging feeling of guilt.

headache: decided to go for a swim to burn those lousy laksa calories in the night, though it was really cold and chilly and what-other-words-describes-low-temp. cause: nagging feeling of guilt due to consumption of lousy laksa. effect: either i swam till there wasn't enough oxygen to my head or it was too cold or my goggles was to tight. pick one!

it didn't help that i had a job interview today at sumitomo corp. apparently a really really big jap construction company. and i was to be the receptionist at the main office cos the lady was going to go on leave. if i get the job la. went with my mom to chinatown before that. so she came along to the office building with me too. and sat there. and the interviewer asked me:" why need your mother to protect you ah?" i'm like:" what? oh no. we went shopping before this." "oh." was the really nonchalant reply. i mean what's her prob man!! then later she told me that it wasn't really a nice first impression to have your mom with you during a job interview or anyone else for that matter cos it gives the impression that you're not independent. i'm like. come on... she's just tired and needed a rest!! sitting at the really really nice lounge of the company wouldn't hurt right. anyway i stressed that if i'm able to handle the really intimidating uncles and aunties at CPF, i'm sure i could handle 'higher-educated' clients that i would be communicating with during this period of time. and oh was the answer she gave again. oh well, if i get this job, i'd be able to have lunch with weiling who'll be working right at the bottom floor!! YAY. so hopefully i can get this job. plus. the $$ is needed too. HAHA.
i noticed something bout shenton way though. or rather, CBD. on dress down there. be sure to dress down. because people seem to wear what seems like pjs to work. I'M SERIOUS. i can promise you that the dress print i saw the interviewer wear was some table cloth somewhere. maybe i've been watching too much ugly betty, but i guess there's a reason why some people are at the front desk and some aren't. even in my capris and grey cotton shirt and black vest. i think i look more the interviewer than she does. ok. i sound offensive. but its true. my mom said she has never seen anyone dress like that to cbd area before. HYOK. fashion dos and don'ts. DON'T WEAR TABLECLOTH TO WORK AT THE CBD EVEN THOUGH ITS DRESS DOWN DAY.
