my dad borrowed a corrinne may cd from his friend. the album with fly away, mr beasley, journey etc. and he's playing it on the sound system now. makes me remember so many things. esp fly away.
the first time i heard corrinne may sing was 2004 new year's eve at the esplanade theatres on the bay. we went there for electrico, but corrinne may took over instead because of a recent tsunami, so the authorities decided that electrico would be too high a performance. was disappointed initially, but turns out corrinne may was quite good. sitting beside rebecca and listening to corrinne may sing fly away was one of the best moments in my life. everything seem to come to a standstill. and it was actually the first time that i heard a new song and actually got touched by it cos the way she sang it was soooo real.
then celest posted this song on her blog before she went over to melbourne. alamak. which was a mistake cos i felt so sad everytime i read it. oh well ... but i guess we're slowly getting used to it.
ah! ok stop thinking bout it. STOP STOP STOP.
